There is only one airport that is actually situated within the city of London. That airport is London City airport, situated close to the Thames in the centre of the city and is therefore regarded as one of the more accessible airports in the country, let alone in London! Because it is so accessible, there are many ways that you can travel there. You could use the bus system, but given the fact that the amount of times that the buses have to stop and the effect this has on your journey time (and the subsequent effect it will have on you catching your flight) this may not be the best of ideas. Alternatively, you could catch the train, yet this also has various problems – not least when you consider both the irregularity of the train network in Britain and the fact that there are often maintenance works going on that will further jeopardise the chances of you catching the plane. The last thing you want to be doing is taking a taxi either – although the old stereotype is becoming irrelevant there are still some drivers who will take non-local people on a longer journey to raise the cost; it’s not worth taking the risk.

Therefore, you will need to use the car parking at the airport, which is very cheap and also very convenient – your car is there in a CCTV surveyed area for the duration of your trip and, when you get back, you can drive away straight away; what could be better?
